'Digital India' this will be the echo of 1.2 billion people in the country in the next few days. A campaign, an initiative that is brought forward by the Indian Government and Maestro who specializes in connecting digitally to the people of India, "Narendra Modi."
Narendra Modi launched 'Digital India Week' and its campaign on 1st July 2015, to build the Nation around the Digital framework, providing E-governance, with the motto, Minimum Government and Maximum Governance, providing a clue that showcases Dominance of India in the Upcoming years with this supreme motto.
This will be a huge leap for India, with the upliftment of Administration and Governance through Digital Technology. Technology has adopted itself to be mainstream, with pooling all categories into it, from manufacturing to retailing and providing services. We associate our lives with technology, with the flow of data getting faster as the days pass by, it is significant for our approaches and governance to follow it up and explore the areas to open up opportunities and fill in those spaces, which were uncovered until now.
This campaign was launched at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi, among Several Key Ministers in the Government and Leading Industrialists from India and other Countries, who were in favour of 'Digital India' and promised to take part in making it successful and handing their contribution in achieving it.
Narendra Modi addressed the gathering and explained the need for 'Digital India', E-Governance, and also went on to state that, Soon would be heading for M-Governance or Mobile Governance, making governance even more transparent, and reachable.
Vision of Digital India Initiative constitutes:
- Digital Infrastructure as a Utility to Every Citizen
- Governance and Services on Demand
- Digital Empowerment of Citizens.
These areas include providing Free Internet Services and building an Infrastructure to handle its challenges effectively, connecting Government services to Common man through Digital Interface and Providing Digital literacy.

There is a strong response for this call from Narendra Modi, from Industrialists worldwide, with many coming forward with their Investment plans and enabling employment opportunities for the people.
Mukesh Ambani came up to Invest around Rs.250000 crores in the next few years across the platform of "Digital India".
Cyrus Mistry of TATA group opened up employment plans with around 60000 intakes this year through TCS.
Mangalam Birla of Aditya Birla group announced that the Birla Group will be investing $7 billion in next 5 years, to strengthen connectivity and also to promised to launch a mobile wallet service.
Sunil Mittal of Bharti Group announced that they will be investing 1 lakh crores to improve 4g services in the country.
Digital India Campaign has brought along 4.5 lakh crores of investment in addition to opening up 18 lakh new job opportunities, which marks this campaign on a success note.
Narendra modi also launched few services as part of this initiative, which includes Digital Locker Service, which helps you store your documents online, Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) mobile app to further power the Initiative of Swachh Bharat, e-sign framework which allows you to sign digitally using Aadhar Authentication, and Mygov.in as part of the campaign.
With this, we hope to see the 'Digital India' Campaign as a huge platform for improving and catering services to the public on demand, through Digital Technology.
