Real Madrid swept away the visiting Real Betis as they found the back of the net 5 times, thanks to goals from Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema. The new manager Rafa Benitez had to digest both both sides of the coin, with Ronaldo's goal less season in 2 matches, but a huge bloom of positivity from the young maestro James Rodriguez who scored a double and also an assist in just his first game this season.
Goal scoring fiesta began in the very second minute of the game with the clock ticking 94 seconds. Rodriguez's curling cross was well recieved by Gareth Bale, who managed to put it in the right side of the goal.
Rodriguez's rifled free kick at 38th minute from just outside the box to the deep left corner hit the side bar and flicked into the goal which increased their advantage to 2 goals to nil, which almost proved impossible for Real Betis to turn the match around.
At half time, score board read 2-0 with goals from Bale and James. Interestingly after 94 seconds into the second half, Benzema scored with a header assisted cross by Bale after a good play in the box from the Madrid team.
Just after few minutes, it was again Rodriguez who with his over-head kick placed the ball towards the left of Adan, taking the lead to 4-0 for the Los- Blancos.
Real Betis's forward Castro missed the chance to pull a goal back when his penalty was blocked by Keylor Navas.
Game was about to fold up and then the majestic Bale produced one of his finest shot from 30 yards out to score on the 89th minute increasing the goal tally to five.
The only thing that might had worried Benitez was Ronaldo's goal-less start in 2 matches, though he placed 5 out of his 6 shots on target, he couldn't find the back of the net.
Rodriguez was the star of the match with his stunning display of skills and Bale now has fans to back him after his superb display.
