Bribed to safeguard messi??

Argentinian hot star and forward Lionel Messi, who is also one of the best players on the planet has come on to grab media attention since last few days, after an Argentinian newspaper La Nacion, stated that each Ireland player was paid $10000 by the then Argentine Football Association (AFA) president Julio Grondona to safeguard and not tackle him, in the International football friendly match against Ireland which was played between the teams of Ireland and Argentina in the August of 2010, with Argentina winning the match 1-0, through a goal from Angel Di Maria.

The Football Association of Ireland(FAI) rejected the allegations, and Kevin Kilbane backed FAI who was also a part of the team in 2010, stated  that "I was totally unaware of it". He also went on to state that, the team didn't receive any bribe from the Argentinian Board and orders to not tackle Messi.

Messi was substituted in the first quarter of the second half, in the 58th minute of the game.

The allegations state that Messi should be in China with the Catalans for the pre-season tour, and Barcelona demanded a sum in the range of  $5million as an insurance fee for their player, which the AFA couldn't pay and bribed the Ireland players to not tackle Messi and safeguard him. This was a clever business from the AFA president, but not clever enough to keep it hidden.

We will have to wait until there is clear evidence of bribery and watch the proceedings as it happens, stay updated with us to know whether the magic of Messi can fade the Bribe allegations.
