Dhoni offers to step down as Team India Captain

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the Indian Cricket Team captain who is often called as Captain Cool for his extra ordinary abilities to handle pressure has said something that has shocked the entire nation and his fans all over the world.

After a humiliating defeat in the on going ODI series against Bangladesh where Team India lost two of its first games, many questions were raised on Dhoni's Captaincy again as this was the first ever ODI series defeat of Team India against Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Team played well in all departments and they clinched a historic ODI series win against Team India by winning their tenth consecutive ODI at home. They almost dominated India in both the games they played and achieved 79 - run victory in the first game and another 6 wicket in win the second, there by clinching the ODI series. 19 year old Mustafizur Rahman has been the star for Bangladesh who picked 11 wickets in two games.

Reacting to this humiliating defeat, Indian Captain M S Dhoni said, he was disappointed with the way his Batsmen are performing. They are losing wickets very quickly and are pushed to batting in pressure. Bowlers cannot be blamed as they are getting a low score to defend. Dhoni also said that Bangladesh have been playing exceptional cricket and doing well in all departments whether it may be batting, bowling or fielding. They are bowling some really good overs and restricting the Indian Batting line up which is one of the best batting line ups in the world.

Speaking in the post-match conference, Dhoni hinted that he could step aside as the captain for the ODI team if the management felt it is necessary. He also said that he is the person responsible for everything bad happening to Indian Team at present and took blame on himself.


So all the supporters and fans out there, what is your view on this regard ? Should Dhoni should step aside or should he continue ?

As a Dhoni fan I feel whenever India wins, we call him the best captain India ever had and whenever we lose due to lack of team effort, we blame only him. Team India will be surely back in their third game against Bangladesh and remind everyone that they are still one of the best teams. Congratulations to Bangladesh for the series win and we must admit that they played really good cricket.
