Leonardo DiCaprio has finally won his Oscar award after five earlier nominations. The prestigious and the most acme trophy an actor would dream of. And luck finally showered on him, on the sixth nomination. He finally walked off the stage with an Oscar.
He won the award for the film 'The Revenant.' The Revenant was nominated under 12 categories this year and bagged home 3 of them. Leonardo DiCaprio won the Best Actor for the film, and Alejandro G.Inarritu won under the directing category. The Revenant also won an Oscar for Best Cinematography.
DiCaprio spoke about the issues in climate change and warned the government's to take necessary actions against the polluters and Industries. He said, "Making 'The Revenant' was about man's relationship to the natural world...climate change is real." "It is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating."
