Let us hover with "LexusHover"!!!

Japanese Automobile giant Lexus has built a board that can hover in the air, Lexus which is known as the luxury vehicle division of Toyota, has its headquarters located in Japan.

Hoverboards are fascinating to watch when they appear in movies, but to engineer it and make it a reality is none the less a tremendous achievement for the team, which made it possible. "Lexus Slide" as they call it, works on the mechanism of magnetic levitation and superconductivity theories, which are also the base for Bullet or MagLev trains.

But the company states that to hover over the  board, it requires a specially designed magnetic track, and the company reportedly built a park in the city of Barcelona, Spain, to carry out the research and filming for the board.

Lexus engineers also stated that it could hover a person on it, and requires stronger magnets to add more weight on the board, and added to say that it requires some more time to work on it and erase their doubts before releasing it in the market. "Lexus Slide" can hover over an inch above the ground. The board contains liquid nitrogen and a superconductive material immersed in it and when the temperature results below its critical temperature of that particular superconductive material, the board starts to hover when placed on the magnetic track, due to the levitating character of the superconductors.

SuperConductors do not allow magnetic lines to pass through them and repel in the opposite direction causing the board to hover.
Temperature above critical temp.    Temperature below critical temp.
Magnet levitating over a superconducting material

So, we will have to wait for further announcements and release dates if the firm decides to roll it out any soon, stay updated with us for more information.
